I think Betsy Ross made the flag because, George Washington Knew Betsy before the flag was made. Betsy owned a sewing shop. The Historians found a five point star in the safe of a man named Samuel Wetherill, Betsy Ross was good at making five point stars. When George Washington came to Betsy’s shop Betsy gave a five point star to a ladi name Hannah Wetherill, that means Hannah must have giving the star to a family member (Samuel Wetherill) and he put the five point star in his safe. That’s why I think Betsy Ross made the first U.S. flag.
